S.A.S. Nagar, March 04, 2025: A high level meeting of various departments was held at the District Administrative Complex under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Komal Mittal, in which the preparations for the one-day chemical disaster and state level mock drill to be held at Derabassi on 6th March were reviewed.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers of various departments to be prepared and make arrangements in advance regarding first aid, flood, CBRN emergency, mock drills like fire, earthquake and other possible disasters that may occur in Punjab.
During the meeting, the central team that arrived for the chemical disaster mock drill informed that in the state level one-day mock drill based on chemical disaster to be held at Derabassi on 6th March, information will be given about how to keep oneself and others safe in case of chemical disaster.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed the officers of various departments that it is important for them to keep equipment and resources ready to deal with every natural disaster so that they do not have to face any difficulty when needed.
On this occasion, ADC Sonam Chaudhary, SDM Mohali Damandeep Kaur, SDM Derabassi Amit Gupta, District Development and Panchayat Officer Baljinder Singh Grewal and senior officers of other departments were present.
