This year, these days are being celebrated on a grand scale by the devotees of every community than in previous years. On this occasion, the chief servant of the society, Surjit Singh, said that the purpose of organizing milk or tea langars on these days is to make the new generation aware of the circumstances during which the Sahibzadas were martyred. And instead of bowing down to oppression, they preferred to attain martyrdom for the sake of the country, nation, truth, religion and honor. They gave a very big message to the young generation by confronting oppression firmly.
On this occasion, he said that the service of setting up milk langar for two days was done in the past day at Machhiwara Sahib, one day at Garhshankar Road. Continuing this series, langar is going on today at Phatti Basta Chowk and on December 29, these milk langars will be set up at Municipal Public Park Nawanshahr. He also said that Guru Nanak Mission Society is drawing up a program to expand its services in the coming days so that along with religious services, the society can conduct its activities in social service on a large scale.
