Hansi:- Taking seriously the problem of waterlogging caused by rain in the area, MLA Vinod Bhayana visited many villages of the constituency with the officials of the concerned departments on Monday and took stock of the situation. He visited villages Dhani Mehnda, Mehnda, Garhi, Sorki, Bhatol Ragdan, Bhatol Jatan, Kharkada and Jeetpura etc. and inspected the condition of water in the fields, streets and drains.
MLA Bhayana instructed the officials to ensure additional arrangements for quick drainage from those fields and residential areas where there is excessive waterlogging. He said that there is a possibility of damage to crops due to waterlogging, in such a situation negligence will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Officials of all the concerned departments should monitor the condition of waterlogging in the villages and solve the problems of the villagers immediately.
Regarding the overflowing drains, the MLA gave clear instructions to the officials that the banks of the drains should be strengthened by adding sufficient amount of soil to prevent them from breaking. He said that due to increased water pressure in the area around the drains, leakage may occur, which can worsen the situation. For this, caution is necessary in advance.
Pump sets should be installed as per requirement in areas with more problem of waterlogging so that the drainage of water can be accelerated. He also instructed the officials to regularly check the availability and functioning of pump sets and form a quick response team at the village level to complete the work in a timely manner.
MLA Bhayana assured the villagers that the government is with them and no kind of trouble will be allowed to come. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini, the state government is doing relief work promptly, considering the works of public interest as paramount. The administrative staff has been instructed to remain engaged in work with full alertness.
