About which the control room received an emergency call at around 7.32 pm. After this, the emergency team immediately started rescue operations at the spot.
'Dawn' quoted Punjab rescue spokesman Farooq Ahmed as saying that six emergency vehicles and 25 rescue workers have been sent to start the rescue operation. Most of the passengers have suffered minor injuries.
According to the rescue service, 22 people were given first aid on the spot while seven people have been shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Muridke for further treatment. The statement said that two passengers were stuck in the bogies but they were rescued and sent to the hospital. According to the news, there are no reports of any casualties in the accident.
