
'Wake Up Customer Wake Up' The Bureau of Indian Standards organized the fifth Gram Panchayat Awareness Camp at Hoshiarpur
Hoshiarpur - With the support of Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur Komal Mittal and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Balraj Singh, The Chandigarh branch office of Indian Standards Bureau, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India organized the fifth Gram Panchayat Awareness Camp at District Hoshiarpur under the leadership of BDPO Sukhjinder Singh at Block Hoshiarpur-1.
Hoshiarpur - With the support of Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur Komal Mittal and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Balraj Singh, The Chandigarh branch office of Indian Standards Bureau, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India organized the fifth Gram Panchayat Awareness Camp at District Hoshiarpur under the leadership of BDPO Sukhjinder Singh at Block Hoshiarpur-1.
About 55 panches-sarpanches and committee members participated in this camp. On this occasion, booklets, flyers and materials related to agriculture specially prepared for the villages by BIS were distributed among the audience. So that the knowledge of agriculture sector can be increased along with their daily life. During this function, Panches-Sarpanches and Samiti members were made aware about the importance of standards for personal needs for development activities, for development of villages and for purchasing quality equipment while constructing irrigation sources in farms. The Panches-Sarpanches present also downloaded the BIS Care App And also learned how to use this app to verify the authenticity of original ISI Mark So that their knowledge about standards in daily life can increase. During the program, a large number of women panchayat members enthusiastically participated in the discussion on Hall Marking and BIS Care App. All the people present warmly chanted the slogan of 'Jago Prajak Jago'. The Panchayat members present shared their thoughts on effective use of the information gained during the workshop. and can check the misuse of the standard mark Which has to be settled by the department within one month. The members present thanked the BIS mark for shedding light on the new knowledge gained on the means of marking and authenticating the mark. And demanded to conduct more such programs in their respective villages. On this occasion, BDPO Sukhjinder Singh also arranged refreshments and tea for the Panches-Sarpanches who came. And promised that in the near future such camps will also be organized at the village level. He thanked consultant Dalbir Singh, resource person Foran Chand and Yograj from BIS department. District Development Fellow Joya Siddiqui, Superintendent Jaswant Roy and the entire staff of BDPO office were present on this occasion.
