Chabbewal- With the aim of giving a new direction to the development of the area, MLA Dr. Ishank inaugurated a project costing Rs. 70 lakh in village Tanuli. Under the first project, about 125 acres will now be provided with irrigation tubewells at a cost of Rs. 54.50 lakh in village Tanuli. This will benefit the farmers a lot and will significantly increase the agricultural productivity of the area.
Under the second major project, the construction of a new link road of 0.53 km long was started, which costs Rs. 16 lakh. Tanuli Sarpanch Kishan Kumar, former Sarpanch Karamjit Kaur, Harpreet Singh Gill, Panch Balwinder Kaur, Amarjit Kaur, Taranjit Kaur, Sarpanch Jaswinder Singh, Fadma Sarpanch Kamaldeep, Sarpanch Paramjit Singh, etc. were present at the inauguration ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Dr. Ishank said that the all-round development of the villages of Chabbewal constituency is my main goal. I am committed to changing the image of our villages, be it irrigation, roads or other basic facilities - work is being done in every field at a fast pace. Providing water facilities to the farmers is our priority, because when the farmer is happy, the village and the state will also progress.
The MLA said that special help has been given by Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal, MP from Hoshiarpur, in bringing these development projects. He expressed his gratitude to the MP and said that these schemes are taking practical form only with the joint efforts of Dr. Raj and the Punjab government.
Dr. Ishank further said that more development works will be approved in the coming time so that the light of progress is brought to every village. He appealed to the Panch-Sarpanchs and the villagers to cooperate and said that this development is possible only with the cooperation of the public. On this occasion, Tanuli Sarpanch Kishan Kumar thanked Dr. Ishaq on behalf of the villagers and said that they all have hopes from their MLA and are confident that the image of the village will change with such projects in the future as well.
