
Accused of the incident of sacrilege at Nurpur Jattan arrested-SP Mukesh Kumar.
Hoshiarpur- During a press conference at Police Station Mahilpur, SP (D) Dr. Mukesh Kumar and others informed about the incident of sacrilege of the sacred body of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji at village Nurpur Jattan of district Hoshiarpur the previous day and said that the incident of sacrilege had come to the notice of the police. Understanding the seriousness of the incident, different teams were formed by SSP Sandeep Kumar Malik IPS.

The investigation teams promptly investigated the case and traced the case within 24 hours and arrested the accused Gurvinder Singh alias Ginda, son of Santokh Singh, resident of Morawali, police station Garhshankar, district Hoshiarpur, and produced him in the honorable court. After obtaining his remand, he is being interrogated in depth. Let us tell you that this incident took place on 18.04.2025 in which the sacred 15 parts of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji were desecrated, in connection with which the committee member of Gurdwara Sahib Ji of village Nurpur Jatta, Jarnail Singh, son of Charan Singh, resident of Nurpur Jattan, police station Mahilpur, district Hoshiarpur, was registered on the basis of the statement of Case No. 46 dated 18.04.2025 299 BNS Police Station Mahilpur, district Hoshiarpur.
