Nawanshahr (Des Raj Bali): Pushpa Raj Kalia (66 years), First Secretary of the Blood Donors Council, a local social service organization dedicated to the blood donation movement, passed away yesterday after being ill for some time. He is survived by his wife, daughter, son, sister, brother and family. A large number of local residents attended his last rites.
The family is survived by wife Rajni Kalhia, younger brother Manoranjan Kalhia, Ritu Kalhia, son Yuvraj Kalhia, daughter Deepti Kalhia, nieces Tanvi Kalhia, Omsi Kalhia, besides Nawanshahr MLA Dr. Nachhatrapal, former MLA Guryaikbal Kaur Babli, AAP's constituency in-charge Lalit Mohan Pathak, Chintu Arora of Vyopaar Mandal, MC Dakmaljit, Banga Balachaur and Nawanshahr Chemist Association President, BDC President SK Sarin, Secretary JS Gidda, Finance Secretary Parvesh Kumar, Dr. Ajay Bagga, District Chemist Association President Harmesh Puri, Harprabhmahal Singh, Ratan Jain, RC Puri, MC Param Khalsa, Surinder Kaur Toor, Rajinder Kaur Gidda, Manmeet Singh Manager, Principal Bikramjit Singh, Birbal Takhi, Narendra Singh Bharta, Principal Parvinder Singh. Jassomajara, Des Raj Bali, Narinderpal Toor, Congress leader Joginder Shokar, Advocate Gaurav Sarin, Pramod Bharti, Amit Sharma and a large number of local residents present gave their last farewell to social worker Pushpa Raj Kalia with tearful eyes.
 The family informed that a prayer meeting for the departed soul has been scheduled on Tuesday, April 29, from 2 to 3 pm at Sri Vishwakarma Temple.
