
Chhattisgarh: 22 Naxalites arrested along with explosives.
Bijapur, April 17 - 22 Naxalites have been arrested at three places in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district and explosives have been seized from them. An official said that a joint team of Cobra (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action - a special unit of the CRPF) and local police was on an operation in the area, during which seven low-level cadres were arrested from a forest near Tekmetla village under Usur police station area on Tuesday.

He said that six more Naxalites were arrested from the forts of Belcher village under the Jangla police station limits, while nine cadres were arrested from the forest of Kandakarka village under Nelson police station area. Different joint teams of security personnel were involved in both these operations.
The official said that tiffin bombs, gelatin sticks, detonators, electric wires, batteries, Maoist pamphlets and other items were recovered from the arrested Naxalites. The age of the Naxalites is between 19 and 45 years.
