SAS Nagar, August 6- The Tejjaan Mela was organized in Sector 79 to celebrate the Teej festival of Village Suhana in Sector 76-80. In this regard, a summer camp of Bhangra and Giddha was organized by International Coach Swaran Singh Channi and Channi Sambhyacharak Manch teams under the leadership of Municipal Corporation Councilor Harjit Singh Bholu and President Hardial Chand Badbar from July 7, on the occasion of which the Tejjaan Mela was organized. During this summer camp, Mayor Amarjit Singh Jeeti Sidhu and former Sarpanch of Village Mauli Baidwan BK Goyal also made themselves present.
SP Vigilance Bureau Prabhjot Kaur attended this Teej Mela as the chief guest. Children, elderly and women participated in this Teej Mela in large numbers. Four Giddha teams and four Bhangra teams of different teams were to participate in this fair, but due to rain, only a few teams were able to give their performances and 40 people and children participated for individual dances and singing and bidding.
The program was conducted by Harman Kaur Baidwan, Sonia and Tamanna. The Giddha teams were led by Neeru Sood, Raminder Kaur Kang, Kuldeep Kaur, Navneet Kaur, Aman and Gurwinder Kaur. People from 3 years to 79 years performed in this program.
Jarnail Singh, Surjit Singh, Krishan Lal, Surinder Singh Kang and many other elders and young teams contributed to organizing this fair, who carried out the responsibility of the program with full dedication. The participants were also honored.
Municipal Corporation Councilor Harjit Singh Bholu said that due to rain, some performances of this program were left. The fair will be held again in the coming time by arranging another program for them. He said that the people associated with the Teej fair had prepared for a long time, but due to rain, the event could not be completed completely.
