SAS Nagar, August 6- Sun Pharma Community Healthcare Society organized a special awareness program in Mohali village on the occasion of World Breastfeeding Week being celebrated from August 1 to August 7.
In this program, pregnant mothers and daughters were made aware about the importance of breastfeeding. The program also provided detailed information about the need to breastfeed children in the first hour before giving birth, the recommendation to give only breast milk for 6 months, and the positive effects of breastfeeding on child nutrition, prevention of diseases and the health of the mother.
Specialist doctors, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers and local panchayat members also participated in the program.
