District Child Protection Unit raided regarding child education and child labour.

This checking was conducted under the leadership of District Child Protection Officer Kanchan Arora during the checking at Main Road Bus Stand Railway Road Main Market and Dhabas of Banga Block, and the team rescued five children engaged in child begging and the children were rescued. Presented before the Child Welfare Committee. According to the orders of the Child Welfare Committee, a girl child aged about nine months whose mother was begging for adoption was handed over to the family on the orders of the committee and with a stern warning to her mother and the other four children. As there is no trace of the parents, they have been given shelter at the Children's Home for Boys, Ludhiana. It was told by the team that the age of the children was from eight to 12 years. Rajinder Kaur Child Protection Officer present on the occasion said that begging from children is a legal offense and anyone who begs or makes labor from children under the age of 18 will be prosecuted according to the Juvenile Justice Act. District Child Protection Officer Kanchan Arora appealed to the general public that children between zero and 18 years of age should not beg, nor should any shopkeeper or any person engage children under 18 years of age in any kind of work. But the children who do this should be counseled and diverted to the side of education so that a bright future can be created for the children. The checking team consisted of Rajinder Kaur Child Protection Officer from District Child Protection Unit, Santosh Kaur DEO, Harvinder Singh and Pradeep Singh from Health Department, Harmesh Singh Clerk from Tehsildar Office, Harvinder Singh and Ravi Kumar from BDPO Office, Harpal Singh from Education Department, CDPO Davinder. Kaur, Mandeep Kaur Supervisor, Surjeet Ram and Saroj Kaur were present from PS City Banga.
