Hoshiarpur: The Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is equipping the government schools of the state with modern facilities. Many schools have been renovated and the government is continuously making efforts to provide high-level facilities to the rest. Under the Punjab Education Revolution, schools are being modernized with a grant of crores of rupees and this process is continuing continuously.
This view was expressed by Punjab Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker Jai Krishan Singh Raudi while inaugurating development works in 7 government schools of Garhshankar assembly constituency at a cost of Rs 45.69 lakh. He said that as a result of commendable work done by the Punjab government in the field of education, the enrollment in government schools has also increased.
The Deputy Speaker today inaugurated the renovation of the building in Government Primary School Ibrahimpur, boundary wall and classroom in Government Primary School Panama, Science Laboratory in Government Senior Secondary School Panama, construction of classroom in Government Primary School Chak Phulu, construction of boundary wall and classroom in Government Primary School Samundra, boundary wall in Government Primary School Dhamai and classroom in Government Senior Secondary School Dhamai.
Jai Krishan Singh Raudi said that now along with basic facilities like clean water, electricity, modern facilities like smart classrooms, science laboratories, playgrounds and beautiful buildings are also being provided in government schools. This has improved the appearance of the schools and the quality of education a lot. He said that under the ongoing Punjab Education Revolution led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, students are getting a good environment for studies and sports so that they can participate in competitive examinations and bring glory to the state and the country. Officers of village panchayats and education department were also present on the occasion.
