Hoshiarpur - On behalf of Rotary Eye Bank and Cornea Transplantation Society, an eye donation awareness seminar was organized yesterday at His Excellent Coaching Center Hoshiarpur under the chairmanship of Principal and Chief Social Worker Sanjeev Arora. In which 325 children of the center were impressed and decided to donate their eyes. He expressed his feelings to the director Dr Ashish Sareen. In this regard, he contacted Rotary Eye Bank President Sanjeev Arora and Chairman JB Bahl. In order to fulfill the wish of the children, Eye Bank organized a program to fill the pledge form to donate eyes at Manavata Mandir. Pandit Raghunandan Sharma Bhrigushastri and his wife Advocate Nirupama Sharma were present as chief guests on this occasion. On this occasion, Principal Sanjeev Arora, while giving detailed information about eye donation to the children, said that the society has so far provided eyesight to more than 4000 people with eye blindness and with the valuable support of eye donors, this process is now going on. Sanjeev Arora said that recently when he received a list from AIIMS Delhi, which included the names of corneal blind children aged 6 months to 8 years, all the members of the society decided to intensify the campaign. resolved Because if our future itself will lead such a dark life then how will the future of the country be safe. He said that life and death are in the hands of God and we should do something while we are alive, which will be an example for humanity. Mr. Arora said that he is happy that by joining this campaign, the youth will play an important role in bringing this campaign to every home. Appreciating the efforts of the children and the center director, he described it as a milestone on the path of human service.
Addressing the event, Pandit Raghunandan Sharma Bhrigushastri and his religious wife Advocate Nirupama Sharma said that those who do religious and humanitarian work, have the mercy of God and may the Lord bless them to work with more dedication and perseverance. They give strength. He also presented a contribution of 21 thousand rupees to the Rotary Eye Bank. On this occasion, Chairman JB Bahl and Director of the Center Dr. Ashish Sarin said that we should donate blood while alive and donating eyes after death is the goal of life, because this is the true service to humanity. Which has also been explained in scriptures. He said that he is very happy that the children have contributed to the work of service with their conscience and with the consent of their parents. Who will always serve as a source of inspiration for others. Meanwhile, he gave detailed information about the works being done by the society and also told about body donation. Mr. Bahl said that due to the efforts of the society, so far 23 persons have donated their bodies for posthumous medical research and for this the society will always be grateful to them. Anyone who wants to donate his body has to complete certain formalities prescribed by the government. For which the testimony of 2 family members, 2 photographs, notarized declaration etc. will have to be given. By completing this process you too can join the great merit of body donation after death. Meanwhile, the children who filled the eye donation forms were thanked by giving certificates on behalf of the society. Principal DK Sharma managed the stage very effectively during the event.
