Hisar: – Like every year, this year also Harnand Sharma Foundation, Chandigarh organized a program to honor the students who got the highest marks in the tenth class of village Petwad. This ceremony was held in the premises of Harnand Memorial Library run by the Foundation. In the year 2025, this honor was given to Arju daughter of Naseeb Kumar (MD High School, Petwad) and Mamta daughter of Ashok Kumar (Shriram Senior Secondary School, Petwad) for their academic achievements.
In the prize distribution ceremony, Dr. Sheetal and Santosh Devi, wife of late Harnand Sharma, village Sarpanch Satbir Singh and library director Dr. Vedpal jointly honored the students and principals by giving mementos, cash and certificates. Principals of all the schools of the village, parents of the honored students, and many eminent villagers were present in the program.
The representatives of the Foundation said in their speech on this occasion that this initiative started in the memory of late Harnand Sharma will continue in future as well and will continue to encourage the students. At the end of the function, Dr. Sheetal expressed her gratitude to all the visitors. After this, Dr. Sheetal and her team also did behavioral and career related counseling of the students of the village.
