Deputy Speaker Jai Krishan Singh Raudi inaugurates Rs 5.65 crore water supply project under AMRUT 2.0 in Garhshankar

Garhshankar, June 9- Taking a significant step towards improving civic amenities in Garhshankar, Deputy Speaker Shri Jai Krishan Singh Raudi today inaugurated the first phase of Rs 5.65 crore water supply project under AMRUT 2.0 scheme.

Garhshankar, June 9- Taking a significant step towards improving civic amenities in Garhshankar, Deputy Speaker Shri Jai Krishan Singh Raudi today inaugurated the first phase of Rs 5.65 crore water supply project under AMRUT 2.0 scheme.
The inauguration ceremony was held in Ward No. 7, where a 19 km. long pipeline network was inaugurated, which will benefit several wards of the city. The project is to provide clean and continuous drinking water to thousands of residents and will greatly promote the infrastructural development of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Speaker Raudi said that the Punjab Government is committed to strengthening the urban infrastructure and providing basic amenities, especially water supply, to every household. He also appreciated the implementing agencies and the local administration for completing the work on time.
He said, “This is a proud step towards our promise of providing clean water and better living facilities to every household. Under AMRUT 2.0, such developmental projects are being given priority so that urban places like Garhshankar can develop in a stealth manner.”
The inauguration was attended by local councilors, high officials and a large number of people who expressed their gratitude for this much-needed development in the area.
The remaining work of the 19 km long pipeline will be completed in a phased manner, so that coverage of the entire area is ensured and there is minimal disruption to daily life.
