Democratic Employees Federation celebrated the martyrdom day of Shaheed Udham Singh.

Garhshankar 31 July - Under the leadership of Democratic Employees Federation, a tribute ceremony was organized to mark the martyrdom day of Shaheed Udham Singh at the Gurdwara of Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj Ji located in Banga Chowk. This tribute ceremony was presided over by Rajkumar Dogarpur, Vinay Kumar and Madam Harpreet Kaur Mansa.

At this time, various leaders Mukesh Kumar, Jarnail Singh, Vinay Kumar, Manpreet Boha and Dr. Joginder Kulewal shed light in detail on the struggle waged by Shaheed Udham Singh against imperialism and for the freedom of the country and said that Shaheed Udham Singh was against the exploitation and atrocities committed against Indians by the British Empire. He wanted to liberate India.
He was committed to the ideals of creating a just India based on freedom, democracy and equality. On 13 March 1940, Udham Singh killed British officer Michael O'Dwyer at Caxton Hall in London, avenging the killing of hundreds of unarmed people in Jillianwale Bagh on Baisakhi day in 1919 and the atrocities committed against Indians.
He sacrificed his entire life for the freedom of India and went to the gallows for his motherland. At this time, various employee leaders Satpal Kler, Gurmail Singh, Hans Raj Garshankar, Rajinder Singh, Mandeep Kumar, Davinder Singh, Jaskaran Singh, Paramjit Singh, Amarjit Singh PTI and Sanjeev Kumar PTI etc. were present in the tribute ceremony.
