
Trials for hockey, judo, volleyball and wrestling on 7th and 8th July at Indira Stadium Una
Una, June 30- Trials are being organized for boys in the age group of 13 to 19 years in hockey, judo, volleyball and wrestling for admission in the session 2025-26 at the sports hostel Una of the Youth Services and Sports Department of Himachal Pradesh. Vivek Bhatia, Director, Youth Services and Sports Department, informed that trials for hockey and judo competition will be held on 7th July and for volleyball and wrestling on 8th July at 10 am at Indira Stadium Una.
Una, June 30- Trials are being organized for boys in the age group of 13 to 19 years in hockey, judo, volleyball and wrestling for admission in the session 2025-26 at the sports hostel Una of the Youth Services and Sports Department of Himachal Pradesh. Vivek Bhatia, Director, Youth Services and Sports Department, informed that trials for hockey and judo competition will be held on 7th July and for volleyball and wrestling on 8th July at 10 am at Indira Stadium Una.
These are the physical parameters for the trials;
Mr. Bhatia said that to participate in these trials, it is mandatory for a 13 year old player to have a height of 158 cm and a weight of 43 kg, a 14 year old player to have a height of 164 cm and a weight of 49 kg and a 15 year old player to have a height of 165 cm and a weight of 50 kg. He said that medal winners of state, national sub-junior, junior and school level in the respective sports will be eligible for entry in the selection process even if they do not fulfill the minimum physical criteria. He said that preference for entry will be given to players in the age group of 13 to 15 years.
These facilities will be provided;
The selected players will be provided free accommodation, food, medical, insurance, sports kit, sports equipment and modern training. They can continue their studies from any local school or college.
Bring necessary documents with you;
Vivek Bhatia said that priority will be given to emerging players and excellent performers in school sports, state and national level sports competitions. Players of the respective age group can participate in the trials along with a set of attested photocopies of their educational, age certificates and original certificates of sports achievements and two passport size photographs. Along with this, no TA/DA will be given to the players for participating in the trials.
Maximum eligible participants should take advantage;
Mr. Bhatia informed that all the District Youth Services and Sports Officers of the state have been directed to widely publicize the trials so that maximum eligible participants can take advantage of it. Also, the District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Una has been asked to ensure proper organization of the trials and accommodation arrangements for the appointed officers.
