11 March Hoshiarpur- Under the chairmanship of Karanjot Adia, President of Safai Karamchari Union Municipal Corporation Hoshiarpur, a special meeting was held with MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa and the rights of the employees were discussed and he was told that the Punjab Action Committee has been demanding the rights of the employees of Municipal Council, Nagar Panchayat and Municipal Corporation.
He should hold a special meeting with Local Bodies Minister Dr. Ravjot ji and Punjab CM Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann ji to resolve this as soon as possible and all outsourced employees should be insured and Safai Sevaks and Sewermen who work on DC rate. They have been in service for about three years and keeping this service in mind, they should be made permanent.
Along with this, in the House meeting of the city Hoshiarpur today, the local demands of the employees of the Municipal Corporation like Mali and Jal Shakha (Plumber and Helper) should be increased in salary accordingly.
On the same basis, the salary of the remaining outsourced employees should also be increased and former cabinet minister and Brahm Shankar Jimpa ji assured that the local demands of the Municipal Corporation will be met as soon as possible and the demands will be resolved at the Punjab level by holding a meeting with Local Bodies Minister Dr. Ravjot ji and CM Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann ji.
