International Women's Day celebrated at Sikh National College

Nawanshahr/Banga- The NSS department of Sikh National College Banga celebrated International Women's Day under the able leadership of Principal Dr. Tarsem Singh Bhinder ji. The program started with the Principal planting a sapling along with the college staff. Addressing the students on this occasion, he said that the main need in the present times is to understand, think and find practical solutions to the issues related to the existence of women.

On this occasion, Dr. Indu Ratti also presented her views on the subject of women empowerment. She made the students aware of the challenges faced by women at the grassroots level and called upon them to rise above gender discrimination and create a healthy society. Dr. Davinder Kaur and Prof. Charandeep Saini also shared their views. On this occasion, the program officer of the department, Dr. Nirmaljit Kaur, conducted the proceedings of the forum while giving information about the historical background of Women's Day.
Among the students, Sukhmanveer, Inder, Yuvraj Arsh Prabhjot and Michael also shared the importance of this day in a different way. On this occasion, Prof. Pooja, Prof. Harpreet Kaur and students were present.
