
International Women's Day celebrated at KC Polytechnic College
Nawanshahr - Campus Director Dr. Avtar Chand Rana celebrated International Women's Day on this year's theme Accelerate Action at KC Polytechnic College located on Karyam Road. Students of Polytechnic College and KC Engineering College participated in quiz and poster making competitions at the college.

College Principal Engr. Jaftar Ahmed, Engr. Meenal Dhiman, students Akramul, Abhay Saini, Loveleen, Shubham expressed their views on the stage. Engr. Jaftar Ahmed said that all the great people who have been born, have been born by ordinary women. All our scriptures and religious books teach us to respect women. After this, other speakers said that in this era of social media, men pay more attention to women, due to which there is a possibility of crime through social media.
Women should keep changing the passwords of Facebook, email ID, ATM etc. from time to time. Half of India's population is women and according to the World Bank report, if women contribute to the workforce, India's growth rate will be in double digits. Only a few people talk about women's employment while most people are more concerned about youth unemployment.
The contribution of women in the labour population has decreased rapidly. Madam Jaskaranpreet Kaur conducted the stage. In the end, the quiz winners Jaskaran Singh, Loveleen and poster making winners Akramul, Parmeshwar, Ravi, Lakhwinder Singh, Abhay Saini, Karandeep Singh were also felicitated.
