Kapurthala- As part of the campaign against drugs, SSP Gaurav Tura IPS organized Kapurthala Cyclothon 2025 in collaboration with Kapurthala City of Palaces, in which hundreds of children and youth participated. Specially Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Panchal IAS and environmentalist Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal, Member Rajya Sabha, Sajjan Singh Chairman Improvement Trust also participated and cycled.
During this, the youth were appealed to stay away from drugs and an oath was taken against those selling drugs. This cycle rally passed through various historical buildings of Kapurthala city.
International cyclist Balraj Singh Chauhan, brand ambassador of Swachh Bharat Mission Municipal Corporation Hoshiarpur, was specially honored by giving medals, certificates and shields for his achievements in cycling in the country and abroad. Chauhan appealed to the youth to stay away from drugs to stay healthy and encouraged them to join sports and cycle.
