21 February Hoshiarpur - Lions Club Vishwas organized a blood donation camp in Gurudwara Sahib under the leadership of Lion Kulwant Singh Rai with the support of Gurudwara Shri Guru Ravidas Maharaj, Village Lahli Khurd. In which 16 units of blood were donated. Dilbag Singh Technical Supervisor Bhai Ghanaiya Ji Charitable Trust Model Town team gave full support.
On this occasion, Pradhan Harjeet Singh Bhatia and Chairman Road Safety Vijay Arora said that a person should donate blood while alive and donate eyes after death. Because by donating blood, many lives can be saved. Whereas donating eyes after death can bring light in someone's dark life. He said that every healthy person between the age of 18 to 65 years can donate blood.
Lion and famous social worker Sanjeev Arora said that donating blood does not cause any weakness in the body, rather you can save someone's precious life by donating blood every three months. After donating blood, our body gets the supply of blood within 24 hours. Arora said that only a person who has an infectious disease like Hepatitis B, AIDS etc. cannot donate blood.
Lion Kulwant Singh Rai thanked the guests and said that soon arrangements will be made to organize another blood donation camp. During the camp, blood donors were honored with medals and certificates and village heads were also honored with mementos.
On this occasion, Lion Pankaj Kumar, Gurmej Singh, Ranjit Singh Sarpanch, Somnath Panch, Paramveer Singh Lambardar, Sarabjit Singh, Karamjit Singh, Rashpal Mall, Kulwinder Singh, Bhagat Rai and Lachman, Jatin, Sunny (all lab technicians) were also present.
