Garhshankar- As part of the service being performed by the students and staff of the educational institutions of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee on the occasion of the large influx of devotees at Sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar during the summer vacations, the staff and students of Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College Garhshankar performed seva at Sri Darbar Sahib under the orders of Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, President of the Shiromani Committee and Secretary Education Eng. Sukhminder Singh.
Under the leadership of College Principal Dr. Amandeep Hira, the staff and students performed the service of water distribution, cleaning service, langar service and discipline in the Darbar Sahib Darshani Deori Parikrama. In particular, the students performed seva at different places with great courtesy and demanded to be given an opportunity to perform seva in the future.
College Principal Dr. Amandeep Hira appreciated the initiative of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee to take service from students and said that such initiatives encourage the spirit of service in students, connect them with Gursikh life, and instill the qualities of mutual cooperation, cooperation, humility and respect among students. He said that while participating in the service, different enthusiasm was seen among the staff and students.
