
4044 cases disposed of on the spot in National Lok Adalat
Nawanshahr- Under the guidelines of National Legal Services Authority and Punjab State Legal Services Authority, S. A. S. Nagar, under the leadership of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Priya Sood and under the supervision of CJM-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Dr. Amandeep, a National Lok Adalat was held today at District Court Complex, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and Sub-Division Court Tehsil Balachaur.

Nagar, under the leadership of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Priya Sood and under the supervision of CJM-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Dr. Amandeep, a National Lok Adalat was held today at District Court Complex, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and Sub-Division Court Tehsil Balachaur.
On this occasion, District and Sessions Judge Priya Sood reviewed all the benches of the National Lok Adalat. Out of 5387 cases of different types, 4044 cases were disposed of on the spot by the 8 batches constituted during this National Adalat with mutual consent of both the parties and awards worth Rs. 7 crore 12 lakh 3 thousand 481 were announced. Giving information, District and Sessions Judge Priya Sood said that during this national court, 6 benches were set up at the District Court Complex Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and at the district level and 2 benches at the Court Sub-Division Balachaur for hearing various cases.
During this national court, the courts of Chairman Permanent Lok Adalat (Public Utility Services) Ashok Kapoor, Additional District and Sessions Judge Karunesh Kumar, Principal Judge Family Court Baljinder Singh Mann, Civil Judge (Senior Division) Aparajita Joshi, Additional Civil Judge) Senior Division Compal Dhanjal, Civil Judge (Junior Division) Tushar Kaur Thind, Additional Civil Judge (Senior Division) Lavjinder Kaur and Civil Judge (Junior Division) Papneet Kaur resolved various types of cases in this national Lok Adalat with mutual consent of both the parties.
Apart from this, Advocate Jashandeep, Advocate Sapna Jaggi, Advocate Dilpreet Kaur, Advocate Baljit Kaur, Advocate Jyoti Bhatia, Advocate Mandeep Singh, Advocate Deepak Sharma, Dinesh Bhardwaj, Member (Permanent Lok Adalat) Satnam Singh, Member (Public Service) Permanent Lok Adalat, Siwani Member, Permanent Lok Adalat (Public Service) and DLSA Nomination Member Ruby, JS Giddha (Upkar NGO), Ratan Jain (Doaba Sewa Samiti NGO), Gurmukh Singh Sandhu (Lion Club NGO), Tarsem Singh Pathlawa (Ek Noor Sewa Sanstha), Vikram Jeet Singh, Manager (BDC Blood Centre Nawashahr NGO) were also included as members of these batches.
On this occasion, District and Sessions Judge Priya Sood said that the main purpose of this National Lok Adalat is to get the court cases decided through mutual agreement and compromise between the two parties, so that besides saving the money and time of the parties concerned, their mutual hostility can also be reduced and mutual brotherhood and love can be maintained among the people. She said that the common people should take maximum benefit of such Lok Adalats being held from time to time.
