``Gold Medal Da Dahej`` screened in front of representatives of international organizations related to deaf and mute people

Hoshiarpur, February 14 - On the occasion of 9th Indian International Deaf Festival, Punjabi film ``Gold Medal Da Dahej`` based on the story of a blind girl which touched the hearts of people was screened in front of representatives of international organizations related to deaf and mute people in the auditorium of CT University. On this occasion, prominent social worker and political leader Mr. Avinash Rai Khanna and Deepak Bali along with others were specially present.

Hoshiarpur, February 14 - On the occasion of 9th Indian International Deaf Festival, Punjabi film ``Gold Medal Da Dahej`` based on the story of a blind girl which touched the hearts of people was screened in front of representatives of international organizations related to deaf and mute people in the auditorium of CT University. On this occasion, prominent social worker and political leader Mr. Avinash Rai Khanna and Deepak Bali along with others were specially present.
Along with the screening of the film in the auditorium connected to the best modern technology of North India, the story was explained in the language of deaf and mute people by sign language experts in a very good manner. The audience got a unique experience while appreciating the story narrated by director Ashok Puri and artists Nancy Arora, Amrit Lal, Kamaljit Kaur, Renuka Rajput, Ramesh Kumar, playback singers Satish Silli Uppal, Ajay Sachdev and Gurmel Dhaliwal.
On this occasion, the film's story writer Avinash Rai Khanna talked to the organizers and guests about the problems and achievements of special people in their lives. He said that such efforts are the need of the hour to include this neglected section of society in the mainstream. After the screening, the organization honored all the artists including story writer Avinash Rai Khanna and director Dr. Ashok Puri.
On this occasion, director Ashok Puri said that while making this film based on a blind girl, while we came to know about the life of blind people, today the problems of the deaf and dumb and the possibilities of a civilized life have been highlighted.
