Nawanshahr - The second and the 53rd group sent by Guru Nanak Mission Seva Society this month to pay obeisance at Gurudwara Shri Darbar Sahib Kartarpur Sahib (Pakistan) of Sahib Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji returned late at night after paying obeisance.

Giving this information, the chief sevadar of the society, Surjeet Singh, said that about 45 members were included in this group sent to pay obeisance at the holy shrine of Guru Nanak Sahib Ji, Shri Kartarpur Sahib. Despite the cold, the devotees were so enthusiastic about the pilgrimage that the entire group reached the society office half an hour before the scheduled departure time and perhaps this was the first time when the pilgrims were sent to Kartarpur Sahib before the scheduled time.
Onkar Singh Usmanpur, the leader of the group that came with the pilgrimage, told that after visiting Guru Baba Bakala Sahib, the Sangat reached Dera Baba Nanak at around 9 am, from where after immigration clearance, it entered Pakistan through the corridor. After reaching Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur, the Sangat visited this holy place and saw those signs of the time of Guru Nanak Sahib Ji, which were touched by Guru Sahib with his feet about five hundred years ago and the message of chanting the name of the Lord, working hard and sharing the fruits of the crop was also given to the whole humanity from this place.
The members of this group also visited Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, Mazar Sahib, Khu Sahib and Kheti Sahib. After visiting this divine place, a special happiness was felt in the hearts of the devotees and the mind also became emotional remembering that time. On this occasion, all the members participated in Ardaas and also had Guru's Langar.
On this occasion, Surjit Singh said that this service of the series of yatra started by Guru Nanak Mission Seva Society will continue in future as well. The next and 54th batch of devotees will be sent for the yatra on 07 February.
Devotees from various villages of Nawanshahr, Balachaur, Garhshankar, Rahon and Jalandhar area participated in this yatra. The members of the group included Kewal Singh Raho, Baldev Singh, Sarwan Singh Barnala Kalan, Sadhu Singh Chakkadana, Gyan Singh, Bakhtawar Singh Mohindpur, Dilbag Singh, Balbir Singh Mehtapur Uldani, Shamsher Singh Bharta Kalan, Surjit Singh Muzaffarpur and Balbir Singh Ghakewal.
