
Free coaching to be given to meritorious students of government schools - Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda
Chandigarh, July 2 - Haryana Education Minister Mr. Mahipal Dhanda said that the aim of the Haryana government is to further improve the level of education in government schools and provide better facilities to the students. In this regard, meritorious students of government schools will be given free coaching, so that they can succeed in IIT, NDA and other examinations.

A pilot project is being prepared by the Education Department regarding this, under which in the first few blocks, the best teachers of government schools will provide coaching to meritorious students after school hours. If this project is successful, it will be implemented in the entire state.
The Education Minister was chairing a review meeting with the officials of the Education Department at the Education House in Panchkula today. He said that there is a plan to hold parent-teacher meetings in government schools on the lines of private schools. So that parents are aware of the level of education of their children and can cooperate in bringing more quality in the education of their children.
He said that the players of Haryana are making a name for themselves in sports all over the world. Our players are winning the most medals in the Olympics, World Championship, Asian Games and Commonwealth Games. The foundation of sports is strengthened from the school time of the players.
Therefore, not only good training will be given to the players in government schools, but maximum sports equipment will also be provided. The sports equipment that has been given to the schools earlier, the teachers should give it to the players to practice. They will also review it from time to time. Action will be taken against the negligent teachers.
The Education Minister said that Hindi is our national language. Haryana is also a Hindi speaking state. Hindi should be used in the offices of the Education Department. No negligence will be tolerated in this.
He said that it is a matter of great pride that Haryana is at the first place in the country in the scheme of mid-day meals provided to children in government schools. Along with education, attention is also being paid to the health of children and they are being given nutritious food.
Additional Chief Secretary School Education Mr. Vineet Garg, Director of Elementary Education Mr. Vivek Agarwal and Director of Secondary Education Mr. Jitendra Dahiya and other officials were present in the meeting.
