Hoshiarpur- Under the guidelines of the Punjab Government and under the leadership of Director Language Department Punjab, Patiala Jaswant Singh Zafar, the Language Department is continuously playing an active role in the promotion of Punjabi language and culture. In this series, unpublished works are being sought from writers for the monthly magazines Punjabi Duniya and Jan Sahitya published by the Language Department.
Giving details in this regard, District Research Officer Dr. Jaswant Rai said that any writer can contact the email ID dlo.language.hsp@gmail.com of the Office of Language Department, District Hoshiarpur to send his works for publication in magazines. Stories, poems, songs, ghazals, sketches and interviews can be sent for Jan Sahitya magazine, while critical articles are being sought for Punjabi Duniya magazine.
Along with sending the work, it is also mandatory to confirm the name, address, mobile number of the writer and that the work is unpublished. The editorial board of the department will give proper place to quality works in the magazines. He informed that apart from these two magazines, the language department is also publishing a monthly magazine in Urdu and Hindi. The annual subscription of each magazine is only two hundred and forty rupees.
These magazines can be purchased from the District Language Office, Hoshiarpur. The department has also made arrangements to deliver the magazines to the readers' homes through post.
