District Legal Services Authority established legal aid clinic in village Pohri

Hoshiarpur- On the instructions of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman District Legal Services Authority Dilbag Singh Johal, CJM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Rajpal Rawal established legal aid clinic in village Pohri, Mukerian.

Hoshiarpur- On the instructions of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman District Legal Services Authority Dilbag Singh Johal, CJM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Rajpal Rawal established legal aid clinic in village Pohri, Mukerian.
On this occasion, Secretary District Legal Services Authority told the villagers that free legal advice and assistance will be provided to the people in this legal aid clinic. Here paralegal volunteer Vishal Kumar will provide his services every Wednesday and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm.
He said that any person can get free legal advice. If a person wants to file a case in the court, then the authority provides free legal aid to eligible persons of eight categories under the Legal Services Authority 1987. These categories include women, children below 18 years of age, prisoners in jail, natural disaster (such as flood, earthquake, homeless person), mentally ill, industrial workers, SC/ST and those whose annual income is less than Rs 3 lakh. Secretary District Legal Services Authority said that eligible persons can get this assistance by filling the application form through paralegal volunteer.
Under legal aid, the authority also bears the lawyer's fee, court fee, witness expenses and other minor expenses. Apart from this, the villagers were made aware about various schemes of NALSA. On this occasion, Panchayat Secretary Madan, Sarpanch Monica, District Legal Services Authority employees Gyan Dev, Rakesh Kumar and paralegal volunteer Vishal Kumar were also present.
