
Diploma course for yoga trainers launched under CM's Yogashala
SAS Nagar 05 December 2024: On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann, Guru Ravidas Ayurveda University Punjab has started a diploma course in Yoga training at “CM’s Yogashala” at Shaheed Major (Shaurya Chakra) Harminder Pal Singh, Government College, Mohali.
SAS Nagar 05 December 2024: On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann, Guru Ravidas Ayurveda University Punjab has started a diploma course in Yoga training at “CM’s Yogashala” at Shaheed Major (Shaurya Chakra) Harminder Pal Singh, Government College, Mohali.
In this, Guru Ravidas Ayurveda University Punjab Registrar Dr. Sanjeev Goyal, Nodal Officer Dr. Gagan Singh Dhakad, Senior Advisor of Yoga Department of Punjab Amresh K. R. Jha and Shri Kamlesh Kumar Mishra, Diploma Coordinator and Teacher were specially present.
Registrar Dr. Sanjeev Goyal said that the Punjab Government has started its unique initiative CM’s Yogashala to make Punjabis physically and mentally healthy. The aim of which is to reduce the crowd in hospitals by protecting the people of Punjab from diseases and keeping them healthy through Yoga. He said that on one hand, while the Punjab government is running a campaign to make the common people healthy through CM's Yogashala, on the other hand, it is encouraging people who have taken yoga courses to become good yoga teachers through diploma courses.
Senior Yoga Advisor Amresh Jha and Kamlesh Kumar Mishra said that yoga trainers under CM's Yogashala are teaching yoga to the people of Punjab daily. They said that yoga classes are being held continuously at different places in Punjab daily. Thousands of people are benefiting by practicing yoga regularly. Their health is also improving.
A helpline number 7669400500 has also been started for this, on just a missed call, the Punjab government will provide a free yoga teacher. People will be able to get all kinds of information about food and drink and yoga practice. Anyone can register at www.cmdiyogashala.punjab.in.
He said that currently, Punjab is the only state in India where people are practicing yoga regularly at the above places.
Today, many people are suffering from diseases related to the respiratory system, blood pressure, sugar level and heart and joint pain. Yoga helps all these patients a lot. They are being trained in various types of asanas, pranayama, meditation, mudra, bandha, dharana and yoga activities, so that they can become good yoga practitioners and further educate other people.
He said that through 'CM's Yogashala', where people will be able to lead a healthy life, they will easily get yoga trainers and yoga guidance.
