Garhshankar - The Punjabi Department of Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College Garhshankar, running under the management of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, organized a one-day literary tour for students with literary interests in the 33rd 'Mela Gadri Babayan Da' dedicated to the legacy of Gadri Babas, organized at Desh Bhagat Hall, Jalandhar.
On this occasion, the students of the college enjoyed book exhibition, skits, quiz, painting and speech competitions, plays and literary programs organized by various publishers, visited the museum and purchased books. College Principal Dr. Amandeep Hira said that such tours connect students with literature and art and teach students to reflect in society.
He said that we should take advantage of such occasions by involving students. During this literary tour, Dr. Kamaljit Kaur, Dr. Kanwaljit Kaur, Professor Saurav Dadri were present with the students and the students thoroughly enjoyed the fair depicting the history of Gadri Babas and the contribution of freedom fighters in the freedom struggle.
