Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, October 18: Minister for Higher Education and Languages ??Sardar Harjot Singh Bains and Director Language Department, Punjab. Under the direction of Jaswant Singh Zafar, Office of the District Language Officer, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar conducted a written children's literature quiz competition of different categories of students belonging to the district today at Khalsa College, Phase 3 (A), Mohali.
The District Language Officer Dr. Darshan Kaur welcomed the students, teachers, parents and dignitaries who came to participate in the competitions and thanked the school heads and teachers for preparing the students for these competitions.
As per the rules of quiz competitions, these competitions were conducted in writing and time was fixed for one hour. A total of 100 questions related to Punjabi language, literature, religion, personalities, cultural, history and geography were asked to the students and the total marks of the question paper were 400.
While giving information about the results of the quiz competitions, District Language Officer Dr. Darshan Kaur said that the first place in Class 'A' (Sixth to Eighth) was won by Arv Sharma (St. Joseph's School, Manoli Surat).
2nd Place Ishman Kaur (Shivalik Public School-56, Mohali)
 And the third place was won by Khushneet Kaur (Sant Ishar Singh Public School-7, Mohali).
Similarly, in class 'A' (ninth to twelfth), the first place went to Rajandeep Kaur (School of Eminence, Kharar).
 2nd Place: Haranwaroop Kaur (Shiwalik Public School-56, Mohali)
And the third place was won by Navjot Kaur (Sahas Garanga).
Similarly, Manpreet Kaur (Government College, Derabsi) first place from 'C' category (Graduation).

And the third place was won by Harpreet Kaur (Shaheed Kanshi Ram Memo College, Bhagomajra).
Students who secure first place in various categories from the district will participate in state level quiz competitions.
Senior Assistant Manjit Singh and all Stenography students were also present on this occasion. The Office of the District Language Officer, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali) thanked the Principal and all the staff of Khalsa College, Mohali for their support in conducting these competitions smoothly.
