Garhshankar:- Today, Adarsh ??Social Welfare Society Punjab, under the leadership of founder president Satish Kumar Soni, went to Krishi Bhawan Garhshankar and along with Agriculture Development Officer Gurinder Singh, submitted a demand letter to ban the poisonous pesticides used during vegetable cultivation and to crack down on the criminals who spray them.

Garhshankar:- Today, Adarsh ??Social Welfare Society Punjab, under the leadership of founder president Satish Kumar Soni, went to Krishi Bhawan Garhshankar and along with Agriculture Development Officer Gurinder Singh, submitted a demand letter to ban the poisonous pesticides used during vegetable cultivation and to crack down on the criminals who spray them. On this occasion, Jagdish Rai, Block Chairman Ravi Ral, Block Vice President Happy Sadhowalia, social worker Santokh Singh, legal advisor Surinder Kumar Advocate, Shaheed Bhagat Singh Welfare Society head Master Dharampal, Lambardar Somnath, social worker Harnek Banga, Jasvir Kumar etc. were prominently present. On this occasion, the founder of the society, Satish Kumar Soni said that our society has launched a campaign to save the environment and save the earth. Under which a memorandum has been given to the Chief Agriculture Development Officer today, demanding a ban on the use of indiscriminate pesticides and fertilizers during the cultivation of fruits and vegetables in the agricultural sector. Due to which the entire humanity is being pushed towards death, due to which dreadful diseases like cancer are spreading. Where earlier heart attacks used to happen to people of 50 to 60 years, today children of 15 to 25 years are dying of heart attacks. Prof. Jagdish Rai said that Punjab is our agricultural state, agriculture is the only means of livelihood here, it is our misfortune that now a large amount of poisonous pesticides are being sprayed in our farming which are proving to be dangerous for us. And till now the governments have remained spectators with closed eyes. Senior Vice President Dr. Lakhwinder Kumar said that today we are being served slow poison in the plate of food. Be it a one-year-old child or an elderly person, this poison is pushing everyone towards death directly or indirectly. Today every fourth person is suffering from cancer. Social worker Happy Sadhowalia said that the demand letter given by the society to the Agriculture Department to stop the spraying of pesticides is a very welcome step. Which should be implemented by forming teams as soon as possible. Agriculture Development Officer Gurinder Singh said that the demand letter given by Adarsh ??Social Welfare Society has been considered keeping in mind the sensitivity of the time. This demand letter will be forwarded to the higher authorities and appropriate action will be taken. On this occasion, Preet Parowalia, Santokh Singh, Harnek Banga, Advocate Surinder Barpagga, Ravi Ral, Master Dharampal, Somnath Lambardar, Jaswinder Saini and other city residents were present.
