Phagwara - Ambedkar Sena organized a grand procession dedicated to the 133rd birth anniversary of the founder of Indian Constitution and Bharat Ratna Dr. BR Ambedkar and 197th birth anniversary of his Guru Jotiba Phule under the leadership of State President Harbhajan Suman. This Shobha Yatra started like every year from Dr Ambedkar Park in local Guru Hargobind Nagar and passed through various bazaars of the city and ended back at Dr Ambedkar Park Guru Hargobind Nagar.
Representatives of various Ambedkarist organizations, social workers and political leaders participated in this procession. During the Shobha Yatra, the Adam Kad Pratima of Babasaheb Dr. Ambedkar and the tableaus dedicated to his life were the center of special attraction. Before the departure of Shobha Yatra, portraits and garlands of Babasaheb Dr. Ambedkar were presented by all dignitaries. After that, Bahujan Samaj leader Sant Ram cut the ribbon and auspiciously started the Shobha Yatra. At the end of Shobha Yatra, Langar service was performed. Meanwhile, Harbhajan Suman said that Babasaheb Dr. Ambedkar gave new guidance not only to the country but to the whole world during his life full of struggle.
  By creating the Indian Constitution, he freed the oppressed society and women from centuries of slavery. Thanks to them every citizen got equality and right to vote. The main purpose of this awareness march in the form of Shobha Yatra is to promote and spread the teachings of Babasaheb and Jotiba Phule. He said that Babasaheb's birthday will also be celebrated with full enthusiasm and enthusiasm as usual on Sunday, April 14.
During the function organized on Sunday evening, meritorious students who secured first, second and third positions in studies will also be honored.
