Patiala, March 16 - In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, a flag march was conducted by the police in the city today on the instructions of SSP Varun Sharma with the aim of maintaining law and order situation in the district and increasing the sense of security among the people.
On this occasion, SP City Muhammad Sarfaraz Alam while talking to the media said that the flag march took place in the main areas of the city. He further said that a company of paramilitary forces has already reached the district to increase security on the occasion of Lok Sabha elections. There will be round-the-clock surveillance at inter-state and inter-city intersections.
