Missing girl's body found in canal

The girl's family had accused a young man of murdering her and throwing her body in the canal passing through Maud. Under which an FIR was registered against the accused in Maud police station under various sections. Today, the body of the missing girl was recovered by the police from the canal near village Yatri with the help of NDRF teams.
SSP Bathinda Madam Amneet Kaudal reached the protest site and calmed the anger of the people and claimed to have arrested 5 accused in this case, which include the main accused Mukul, his friend Karan, uncle Raju, father Ravi Kumar and mother Dimple. The police have sent the body to AIIMS Hospital in Bathinda for postmortem.
During the investigation, the police have claimed that the girl was murdered and her body was thrown into the canal to destroy the remains. SHO Maud Manjit Singh, who was lax in this case, has been suspended. The police have registered a case of murder against the main accused Mukul and added section 302 and started further action.
A candle march was taken out by the city residents in the evening to pay tribute to the daughter of Maud Mandi. Thousands of mothers, sisters, elderly and youth were present on this occasion.
