Giving information in this regard, District Language Officer Dr. Jaswant Roy said that according to this act, the name of the concerned shop or institution is to be written in Punjabi language (Gurmukhi script) on the upper side. And if you want to write in another language, then write in another language below Punjabi.
A fine of one thousand rupees shall be imposed for the first violation of this Act and a fine of two thousand rupees for each violation thereafter. He appealed to all working officers, municipal councils, business board presidents, bank managers, secretaries, market committees, private schools and city panchayats to play a leading role in ensuring compliance with the instructions of the government and maintaining due respect for the mother tongue. .
At the same time, it is our moral duty to maintain the pride and dignity of our mother tongue. He said that according to the guidelines of the Director Language Department of Punjab, the concerned have been informed in detail about the instructions of the Punjab government by issuing a letter.
