Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, June 9: Harmandeep Singh Hans, IPS Senior Superintendent of Police District SAS Nagar During the campaign against bad elements launched by District Mohali Police as per the directions of Shri Saurav Jindal PPS Superintendent of Police (Investigation), Shri Talwinder Singh PPS Superintendent of Police (Operation), Shri Jatinder Singh Chauhan PPS Sub-Superintendent of Police (Investigation) District SAS Nagar under the supervision of Inspector Harminder Singh Incharge CIA. The staff team has succeeded in arresting 01 accused and recovering 03 rounds of an illegal weapon pistol .32 bore from him.
On 06-06-2025, when the police party of CIA staff was present near bus stop Jhanjeri, CIA staff ASI Gurdeep Singh received information that Harish Verma son of Suresh Kumar resident of village Jhanjeri, district SAS Nagar, who runs a shop in the name of Verma Jewellers in front of Government Senior Secondary School, Jhanjeri, has already registered a case of fight. 
Who has kept illegal weapons with him. Other associates of Harish Verma also have illegal weapons. If he is caught, then illegal weapons can be recovered from him. 
Based on the information, a case No. 181 dated 06-06-2025 under Section 25-54-59 Arms Act was registered against the above Harish Verma at Police Station Sadar Kharar. The accused was arrested from his shop Verma Jewellers, village Jhanjeri and 03 live rounds of .32 bore along with a pistol were recovered.
Interrogation Accused:-
Accused Harish Verma alias Babbu son of Suresh Kumar resident of village Jhanjeri, Police Station Sadar Kharar, District S.A.S. Nagar whose age is around 24 years, who is a 12th class pass and married. (Previously, case No. 225 dated 30-08-2024 against the accused under Sections 115(2), 118(1), 126(2), 109, 324(4), 351(2), 191(3), 190, 326 BNS & 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Sadar Police Station, Kharar)
The accused is under police remand. The accused is being interrogated and there is a possibility of recovery of more illegal weapons under the said case.
