Amritsar, April 20 – Tarsem Singh, father of MP and Akali Dal heir Punjab organization chief Amritpal Singh, and his supporters today alleged here that under a conspiracy, the National Security Act imposed against Amritpal has been extended and he has been kept in solitary confinement in Dibrugarh jail in Assam, due to which his life is in danger.
Meanwhile, the letter has also been made public today, through which the Amritsar Deputy Commissioner has recently ordered the extension of the NSA period. A copy of it has also been handed over to Amritpal Singh and his signature has been made.
During the press conference here this evening, Amrit Pal's father Tarsem Singh, Amarjit Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Gursewak Singh Jawaharke, Jaganandan Bir Singh Narli, Davinder Singh Hariewal, Chacha Pargat Singh, Chacha Sukhchain Singh, Palwinder Singh and other supporters were present in large numbers, said that just like other Sikhs have been brought to Punjab after the expiry of the NSA. Similarly, Amrit Pal Singh was to be brought to Punjab after the expiry of the NSA against him on April 22, but now the NSA has been imposed prematurely again, which will start from April 23.
The main reason for this is the Panthic conference organized by the organization at Takht Sri Damdama Sahib on April 13, in which a large gathering was held and this large gathering has woken up the Bhagwant Mann government, as a result of which the government has re-imposed NSA out of fear, which is a direct violation of his democratic, religious and constitutional rights. He alleged that the Punjab Police is also not working according to the law. His NSA has been deliberately increased under a conspiracy and under this he has been kept in solitary confinement in Dibrugarh Jail in Assam, which is a matter of concern.
