The goal of giving polio preventive medicine to 100% children has been achieved: Dr. Raminder Kaur

Patiala, December 12 - 1,85,072 children between 0 to 5 years of age were administered polio drops in Patiala district on the third and final day of Pulse Polio campaign under Sub National Pulse Polio Day. Giving information, Civil Surgeon Dr. Raminder Kaur said that today, on the last and third day of the polio campaign, the health teams visited 1,43,800 homes and administered anti-polio drops to 27,783 children.

Patiala, December 12 - 1,85,072 children between 0 to 5 years of age were administered polio drops in Patiala district on the third and final day of Pulse Polio campaign under Sub National Pulse Polio Day. Giving information, Civil Surgeon Dr. Raminder Kaur said that today, on the last and third day of the polio campaign, the health teams visited 1,43,800 homes and administered anti-polio drops to 27,783 children. With which the 100 percent goal of administering anti-polio drops to children in the district has been achieved. He said that on the first day of the campaign, on Sunday, the health department set up polio booths in public places, villages and cities as per the need and administered drops of anti-polio medicine to the children. The children who were deprived of drinking polio medicine at the booths due to some reason, were given polio vaccine drops by the health department teams on 11th and 12th December. He also thanked the health staff, Mata Kaushalya Nursing School, students of Ashoka Nursing College, Anganwadi workers, Asha workers, social service organizations, panchayats, various departments and people for their support to carry out this campaign successfully. The campaign conducted in the district was also supervised by the Civil Surgeon and all program officers by going to different blocks.
