Garhshankar/Balachaur - As per the instructions of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar District Police Chief Dr. Akhil Chaudhary, a police party was present near Gaushala village Chandpur Roorkee in search of suspicious persons. Then two youths were seen coming on a motorcycle from Barapur village. Who was seen carrying a heavy plastic can in the middle of his motorcycle. When the police saw them coming closer, they signaled them to stop, who suddenly got scared after seeing the police party and slowed down the motorcycle and started turning back. Kishan Das's son, resident of village Dallewal police station Garhshankar (Hoshiarpur) and the person sitting behind the youth seat revealed his name as Rajesh Kumar son of Kamaljeet Singh Pippalwal Beenwal police station Garhshankar (Hoshiarpur). The said youth was found to be passing motorcycle number PB-24-E-1757 brand Splendor color black. With the help of fellow employees, the heavy plastic can kept between them was taken down from the motorcycle and upon investigation, illicit liquor was recovered from it. 27,000 ml of liquor was recovered from the said can, hence a case was registered against the said youth under No. 79 A: D: 61 Excise Act.
