
Doaba student writers showcased their talent
Mahilpur- You keep writing, I will keep publishing books. This idea was conveyed by Sukhi Bath, founder of Punjab Bhawan Surrey and patron of Naya Qalam Nayi Udan to a large gathering of students at Cambridge International School Phagwara. He further said that the aim of Naya Qalam Nayi Udan is to instill a love for Punjabi language in the new generation so that tomorrow they can become Amrita Pritam and Sant Singh Sekhon.

He also said that students who become literature lovers also become ideal citizens. In this way, this project is providing new light and healthy life to the students. On this occasion, books written by students from four districts of Doaba were also launched. On this occasion, editors and guide teachers associated with Naya Qalam Nayi Udan project from Nawanshahr, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala and Jalandhar were present in a dignified manner.
Students and teachers who created literature were awarded medals, certificates and books. Project incharge Onkar Singh Teje said that the aim of this project is to publish 100 books. This project has been started wherever Punjabis live in the country and abroad. Work is also being done on this project in different districts of Pakistan. All the expenses of the project are being borne by Mr. Sukhi Bath. He encouraged the teachers, parents and students associated with this project to work with more courage.
Shiromani Children's Literature Writer Baljinder Mann, who is a member of the presidium, appreciated these efforts and said that students should read as much as possible before writing so that they can accumulate vocabulary and experience in knowledge science. Students who read children's literature books and magazines also do well in writing.
District Hoshiarpur Language Research Officer Dr. Jaswant Rai congratulated the organizers of this project and said that such efforts not only promote our mother tongue Punjabi but also make our existence healthy. Taking this project to the global level is a record in itself.
For which Sukhi Baath and the organizers are receiving everyone's blessings. Ashok Mehra gave information about the book being published on blood donation, organ donation and body donation and said that the only way to live even after leaving this world is possible by donating your organs, body or blood.
On this occasion, the latest edition of the only child of Punjabi included in the India Book of Records, Nikkiya Karumbalan, was also released. Speaking about which, State Awardee Teacher Ajay Kumar Khatkar, State Awardee Nitan Suman, Dr. Kewal Ram, Anju V. Ratti, Ram Tirath Parmar, Young Awardee Vandhana Heer and Jasvir Sidhu said that this magazine should reach every home and every school so that students can become abreast of the times. Kamlesh Kaur Sandhu, who was responsible for conducting the stage, captivated everyone with her wonderful words.
On this occasion, selected students from the three districts captivated everyone with their wonderful performances. By presenting original poems, articles and stories, the students made them realize that they are truly the heirs of Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiyat.
On this occasion, Ravanjot Kaur Sidhu, Makhan Bakhlaur, Des Raj, Rajesh Kumar Bhagat, Seema Rani, Dr. Veena Arora, Shama Rani, Arvinder Kaur, Sarabjit Kaur, Bandhana Saini, Yogesh Kaul Jogi, Geetanjali, Master Pardeep Singh Mauji, Kewal Kaur, Sat Prakash, Parmila Devi, Harveer Mann, Surinder Kaur, Manjinder Kumar, along with a large number of students, parents and guide teachers were present.
Sahiba Jitan Kaur, Harjinder Singh Niyana, Diljit Kaur, Simrat Kaur and Sukhdev Singh Bohani etc. contributed significantly in giving a splendid color to the children's literature festival. Chief Editor Harjinder Singh Niyana thanked everyone and said that as Punjabis, it is the responsibility of all of us to contribute to the prosperity of our mother tongue Punjabi.
