Hoshiarpur- A meeting of Punjab Nirman Mazdoor Union was held in village Khudda of district Hoshiarpur under the chairmanship of Dasuha unit secretary Mr. Swarn Singh. State President of Punjab Nirman Mazdoor Union Comrade Ganga Prasad specially attended this meeting. Ganga Prasad said in his address that a conference of MNREGA laborers is being organized in Desh Bhagat Yadgar Hall Jalandhar on 6th July 2020.
He appealed to all the laborers to join this conference with enthusiasm. He strongly condemned the policies being implemented by the Central Government against farmers, laborers, employees and employees.
Ganga Prasad said that on 9th July 2025, all the trade unions, Punjab Nirman Mazdoor Union, Asha Workers Union, Anganwadi Workers, Mid-Day Meal Workers, Employees Federation, Farmers, Railway Employees, Electricity Employees, Roadways Employees etc. are going to hold a nationwide strike against the anti-people policies of the Central Government.
He said that this strike is being done to achieve the demands such as Rs 700 per day per worker, equal pay for equal work, abolition of contract system, restoration of 44 shameful laws and cancellation of 4 labor codes, old age and widow pension of Rs 10,000 per month and stopping the arbitrariness of the central government and state governments etc.
He appealed to all the workers to participate in this strike with full enthusiasm. Paramjit Singh, Kamaljit Singh, Purushottam Singh, Surjit Singh, Himmat Singh, Kulwinder Kaur Shaktala Devi, Sarabjit Kaur and a large number of leaders of labor and brotherhood organizations were present in this meeting.
