SAS Nagar, June 30- Mohali Police has arrested three persons on charges of forcing girls into prostitution. It is alleged that these persons were forcing innocent girls into sex service/prostitution by luring them with the promise of earning more money.
Giving information in this regard, DSP City 2, Mr. Harsimran Singh Bull said that these persons have been caught during the campaign being run against anti-social elements on the instructions of SSP Mr. Harmandeep Singh Hans.
He informed that in this regard, during the operation being conducted under the supervision of Inspector Aman Baidwan, Chief Officer of Phase-11 Police Station, Nahid Alam, resident of District Krishnaganj, Bihar (presently resident of Mauli Baidwan, Sector 80, Mohali), Pawan Kumar, resident of Fatehabad, Haryana (presently resident of Sandhu Tower, Village Kumbra, Sector 68), and Gurlal Singh alias Lali, resident of Budhlada, District Mansa (presently resident of Village Kumbra, New PG) were arrested on June 29 by registering a case under Section 217 of BNS and Section 3, 4, and 5 of Immoral Traffic Prevention Act 1956.
He informed that the accused were forcing innocent girls to provide sex services by luring them with the promise of earning more money. He said that the accused will be produced in the Hon'ble Court of Mohali and remand will be obtained. More important clues are likely to be found during interrogation.
