Lioness found dead in Madhya Pradesh's Kanha National Park.

Mandla (Madhya Pradesh), May 28 - A lioness died after getting stuck between two rocks on a hill in Madhya Pradesh's Kanha National Park. Field Director Ravinder Mani Tripathi said that the animal, aged between 8 and 10 years, was found dead under the Mundi Dadar beet in the Kanha Forest Range on Tuesday.

Field Director Ravinder Mani Tripathi said that the animal, aged between 8 and 10 years, was found dead under the Mundi Dadar beet in the Kanha Forest Range on Tuesday.
He said that during the inspection of the spot, it was found that the lioness was badly stuck between two big rocks. The officer said that the incident site and the surrounding area were inspected with the help of dog squad and the area was secured as per the guidelines.
After much effort, the body was removed from the spot and later a postmortem was conducted. During this, the body parts of the lioness were found to be intact. The officer said that as per the protocol, samples of the body were taken for forensic examination. There are several tiger reserves in Madhya Pradesh, including Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Pench, Satpura, and Panna.
