S.A.S. Nagar, May 23, 2025: Drugs are being eradicated under the campaign War Against Drugs launched to eradicate drugs from Punjab. Now under the Drug Eradication Campaign, which is being run under the leadership of the Defense Committees of villages and wards, awareness activities are being conducted in every village and ward and people are also being given the pledge of drug eradication.
Today, the Drug Eradication Campaign was launched by MLA Mohali Kulwant Singh in villages Balongi, Ballomajra and Baliali. A large number of villagers participated with him on this occasion. He said that our aim is to save the children and youth of Punjab from drugs. For this, everyone's cooperation is needed. The government or the police alone cannot accomplish this task.
He said that due to the strict decisions being taken by the government to eradicate drugs, most of the drug dealers have now left the land of Punjab and the youth who used drugs are also voluntarily giving up drugs. The MLA said that the aim of the drug addiction journey is to eradicate drugs with the cooperation of all sections and making every village and every street drug-free is the priority of the government. He said that while the Punjab government is completely eradicating drugs from the state by taking strict action against drug peddlers, it is also helping the youth trapped in the grip of drugs to get them off their feet again so that they can lead a better life in the society.
On this occasion, he appealed to the villagers, especially the youth, to stay away from drugs and play an active role in making the society free from this evil.
