On this occasion, former MP and senior leader Avinash Rai Khanna and State BJP Secretary Meenu Sethi were present.
While talking to journalists, BJP leaders said that on 22 April 2025, 26 innocent civilians lost their lives in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam area of Jammu and Kashmir. This incident shook the whole country. After this painful incident, the Central Government has taken an important step and has started the process of deporting all of them by cancelling the visa services issued to the citizens of Pakistan.
As per the order number 25022/28/2025–F.I issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs dated 25–04–25 and exercising the powers conferred under Section 3(1) of the Foreigners Act 1946, the visa services issued to Pakistani citizens have been temporarily stopped.
The BJP leaders said that today we all are going to give a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner. Through this memorandum, we demand from the Governor and Chief Minister of Punjab that all those Pakistani citizens living in different parts of Hoshiarpur district, who have settled here illegally and who do not have any valid documents, where their visa has expired or has been cancelled, should be deported immediately.
This matter is related to national security, so a list of those persons should be prepared and appropriate action should be initiated. This is a very sensitive matter and we hope that the local administration will take this action immediately and with full power as per the policy of the country so that trust is maintained among the public and security related problems can be resolved in time.
