
Mohali Senior Citizens Association organizes musical evening dedicated to Shiv Batalvi.
Mohali- Senior Citizens Association Mohali organized a grand musical evening at Smart Wonder School Sector 71. The program was organized as a tribute to the famous Punjabi poet Shiv Batalvi whose death anniversary falls on May 6.
Mohali- Senior Citizens Association Mohali organized a grand musical evening at Smart Wonder School Sector 71. The program was organized as a tribute to the famous Punjabi poet Shiv Batalvi whose death anniversary falls on May 6.
The main attraction of the program was the performance by the famous singer Shri RD Kailey, who has composed more than 70 songs of Shiv Batalvi. The program was inaugurated with a shabad by Mrs. Avtar Kaur followed by songs sung by SS Nayyar, Guldeep Singh, RK Gupta, SP Duggal, Dr. IS Kang, Vijay Chaturvedi, Nirmal Jeet Singh, Mrs. Promila Singh and Harjinder Singh.
After this, three senior singers Shivjit Singh Walia, Harjit Singh and Manmohan Singh were honored for their contribution to the field of music at MSCA. After this, Mr. Kaile took the stage and for the next two hours, more than 150 audience were treated to wonderful singing.
This special section was dedicated to songs and ghazals other than Batalvi songs. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the Punjabi songs and dancing on tap. The program was conducted in a very elegant manner by Mrs. Harvinder Kaur, Harjinder Singh and Sukhvinder Singh Bedi.
This program was possible with the efforts of the Association President Brigadier J.S. Jagdev, Mr. R.P.S. Wigg, Mr. Jarnail Singh. All the singers of the association were presented with mementos which were sponsored by R.P. Singh Wigg. The program was organized in the beautiful auditorium of Smart Wonder School and Brigadier Jagdev thanked the school authorities for allowing this program to be organized in the school.
Overall, it was a great musical program dedicated to Shiv Batalvi, in which the audience thoroughly enjoyed and especially appreciated the office bearers and moderators of the association. At the end of the program, packed snacks were distributed which were served in a very elegant manner by Narinder Singh, Secretary Hospitality. Which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
