Una, December 26- The campaign of Una district administration against illegal mining is continuing at a fast pace. On Thursday, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal and Superintendent of Police Rakesh Singh conducted a surprise inspection in Bathu, Bathri and Tahliwal areas through drone technology. During this, heavy fines were imposed on vehicle owners involved in illegal mining activities.
Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said that we are keeping a close watch on illegal mining by using technical resources along with traditional methods of monitoring. High-tech equipment is being used in this, which is part of our new strategy. This has further sharpened the monitoring and action.
He said that no stone will be left unturned to effectively implement the state government's zero tolerance policy against illegal mining in Una district. Such action will continue continuously and effectively. He appealed for active cooperation from the district residents in making Una district completely free from illegal mining. He urged the people to immediately inform the administration and police about any activity of illegal mining in their surrounding areas. The information of the informer will be kept confidential.
